The decanter is made from hand blown lead-free crystalline quartz, is indented in the bottom for ease of use and has a capacity of 48 ounces. The sediment strainer is placed in the shower funnel prior to decanting to help remove the sediments from an aged bottle of wine. Pour the wine through the wine shower funnel to help oxygenate the wine. Watch it shower down the sides of the decanter. This is truly a beautiful and functional set all in one.
