Not as pictured
I specifically chose these rocks because in the picture they had sharp edges and I liked that look better than the tumble counterparts, but the image is false and the rocks are tumble just like cheaper rocks out there. They work fine but don't think you are going to get what is pictured. I would suggest to the vender to change the picture because the real rocks look nothing like the image.

Whiskey Soapstones
They do exactly what they're supposed to do. Depending on the temperature of the whiskey when you pour it and how many stones you use, they will keep your drink at a pleasant temperature. The only real limitation is the number of the stones that is recommended to use: 3. If you have a wide enough glass, four works, too, but you should not put too much whiskey in the glass. 1-2 fingers only, as drowning the soapstones will only result in a minor change in temperature.

I bought this product for my father as a gift on fathers day. He was really pleased and later used them with great success that night.
It's a great gift for the guy in your life.

Not Really
I bought this as a present for my husband. He used them once. Just didn't work. Did not keep the whiskey chilled and had an unusual odor.
