buyit u wont regret it
i bought this because i wanted to be able to groom in many different ways
this worked well because there was so many tops that i could switch onto the trimmer. also the battery lasts a long time after you charge it
i would recommend buying this item to everyone who is annoyed with there groomer

So-So Trimmer
I have owned this clipper set for about two years. I originally bought it to do some "manscaping", but as my hair is getting thinner and thinner, I have also used it to buzz my hair from time to time on a "1" or "2" guard. Unfortunately, this clipper set does a barely adequate job at both tasks, and let's not even get into how the nose hair attachment will yank your nose hairs out and bring tears to your eyes!

First, let's discuss cutting your hair. I have found that I need to go over the same spots on my head numerous times in order to get the hair trimmed to a uniform length. And it is virtually impossible to do the back of your own head. As my wife hates helping me groom myself in any way (and she once gouged a hideous clump out from above my ear that looked horrible for two weeks), I find that I have gone back to paying $15 every two weeks at the barber shop.

Now for the manscaping. I am afraid to use the bare clipper on my tender parts considering what it does to the back of my neck, and the foil is completely useless. So I use the beard trimmer on the lowest guard setting, and again, I have to go over and over the same spots dozens of times and still can't seem to get a uniform length.

Overall, this set has held up well with a reasonable amount of use, but after two years of "getting by" with this product, I think I'm to the point where I will buy a separate body groomer and head clipper. I was browsing through the reviews for just that purpose and saw this clipper set come up, so I figured I'd leave a review in case it helps my fellow men.

This groomer is much nicer than I expected. A lot better than another brand that I finally wore out.

Poorly Designed, Cheap Guards Ruin It
As noted by others, the guides are poor. No issues with the cutter, it does what it says it will do. It's not rocket science. If you wish to have an "ultra short" or stubble beard or Van Dyke, the friction of face-to-plastic-guard on the 1 (shortest) beard setting will wear the teeth off the guard in weeks. I paid nearly the cost of the entire unit for Norelco to send another plastic guard, and now 3 months later, more broken teeth. Because I trim once weekly, that means about 12 uses killed the guard. They easily could have used nylon or poly for the attachments. I'm not buying any more Norelco on matter of principal now. This was trash.
