FAVORITE cookbook. If you love to entertain friends and family in style then you MUST get this book. Love love love it!!!!

Well thought out book
I bought this book based on others' recommendations, and I'm glad that I did. The book is broken down into seasons, so it's easy to find recipes for whatever time of year it is currently. I like the descriptions of the wines and why they pair with the recipes included. It gives you the option of finding a similar wine that would fit your budget, although quite a few of the wines listed aren't very expensive. I found most the recipes very appealing. I plan to use this book to plan dinner parties with friends. I also like that these recipes are from Cooking Light, as opposed to most of the wine/food books that don't take in to account that people may want a reduced calorie meal option to pair with wines. Overall I would recommend this to friends and family and a few might be getting a copy of this as a gift in the near future.

Beautiful, informational book.
I bought two copies, one for myself, and another for a wine lover. Karen's book has great informations and nice recipes to try with particular wines. If you love to cook, and enjoy learning about wine, this is the book to have.

Made my wine tasting fundraising party a success!
I recently hosted a wine tasting party to raise money for a LiveStrong challenge event. I am a cyclist who likes wine (and definitely not a chef). I really liked the way the book was organized by season and by meals which made it very simple for me to plan the party. I made the pear-cheese strata which was the number one hit of the event. I also made the honey-apple crumble with dried fruit and it was delicious. The hint to rehydrate the dried fruit with the apple cider was a great tip. Almost every dish is beautifully photographed, the instructions are easy to follow and the recipes use easily available ingredients. There's also lots of information about the wines and reasons for the successful pairings.

I'd buy more cookbooks and cook/entertain more often if all cookbooks were as good as this one.
